What is Happening Inside Your Body?

The volume of blood is continuing to increase in your body, as is amniotic fluid. This can cause you to feel thirsty or even worse, suffer from dehydration, which can lead to headaches and other problems.

You may find that you are having more sinus congestion than normal. This is because your sinuses swell to provide extra defense against germs.

You still may not have any noticeable changes in your body shape, but you may be experiencing changes in your hair and nail growth. Your hair will likely change a lot during pregnancy. It can become dry or oily, thicker or thinner. It may also grow faster.

How Big is Your Baby?

Your baby is a little more than 1 ½ inches long. It has been 9 weeks since conception.

What Does A Fetus Look Like at 11 Weeks? Amazing Videos

Amazing video of a baby in the womb at 11 weeks (9 weeks since conception).
Click here to watch the video.

For pictures of actual human fetuses in the womb at 11 weeks.
Click to here to watch video.

External genitalia begin to distinguish themselves as either male or female.

How is Your Baby Developing?

Your baby is no longer referred to as an embryo. From this week until the time your baby is full term, it will be known as a fetus.

Fingernails and toenails are beginning to develop, as are hair follicles. Though you won’t be able to feel any movement yet, your baby is beginning to turn somersaults, flex its fingers, and stretch. It will be about another 6 weeks or so before you can feel any of this activity.

Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy

Make sure that you are getting plenty of fluids every day. Carry a water bottle with you and drink regularly to avoid dehydration.
