What is Happening Inside Your Body?

Week25Fetus3DWeb200There is no disguising your belly now. Your uterus has reached the size of a soccer ball. Your intestines and organs are getting well squeezed. This can cause you to have heart burn and constipation.

As weight increases and the belly gets larger, about ¼ of women develop hemorrhoids.

Your blood pressure should be beginning to return to normal, pre-pregnancy levels.

Your breasts are continuing to grow. You may notice that the Montgomery’s tubercles, the little bumpy skin surrounding your areola are getting larger also. Your body is continuing to prepare for breast feeding. When your baby is born and begins to breastfeed, these bumps will secrete oils to moisturize your skin.

How Big is Your Baby?

Your baby is about 11 ½ inches long from head to toe or 8 ¾ inches from crown to rump and weighs about 1 ½ pounds.

How is Your Baby Developing?

25WeekFetusWebb200Your baby now has a regular sleeping and waking rhythm and schedule.

Your baby’s hands and fingers, as well as fingernails, are fully developed now. It is able to make a fist and grasp onto different body parts or structures inside your uterus.

It may be possible to listen to your baby’s heartbeat with just a stethoscope, or your partner may be able to hear it by pressing his ear against your abdomen.

Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy

Remember that before taking any cold, allergy, or herbal medicines you should consult with your doctor. Many medications and herbal medicines are not safe for your growing baby.

Thank you so much for your commenting about your baby. It’s fun to let the whole world know that life can be exciting.
Learn to think ahead. Start now to lay aside money for diapers. Watch the close out racks for great cloths at very low prices. Learn to think about a year ahead. That way if you continue to watch the close out racks you can have plenty of cloths for your baby just waiting for her to fit into them.
It’s great to be excited. Stay excited and enjoy the journey.
